Cheez-It Anyone?

Will somebody please explain to daddy that fifteen week old babies can NOT eat Cheez-Its?

Mommy let me hang out with daddy today while she ran an errand (and no, I didn't cry). When she got home, she told daddy that she wanted to wait until I'm at least six months old to start solid foods. Daddy said, "Interesting. I almost gave him a Cheez-It while you were gone." Needless to say, mommy FREAKED out. She tried to explain to daddy that babies have to be introduced to food very gradually so as to avoid food allergies and upsetting our delicate digestive systems...and that we usually start out on rice cereal. Daddy's response: "Rice cereal, Cheez-It, what's the difference?" Mommy is going into cardiac arrest even as we speak. To calm her down, daddy assured her that he was just going to give me a piece of a Cheez-It, but that didn't seem to help matters. I don't know that she'll ever leave me alone again...at least not without hiding all of the food.

  1. Hello Mr. T, your daddy has always enjoyed the junk food, but my advice would be to wait a bit before trying the cheez-it's. Daddy was probably just trying to get on your good side while mommy was leaving you two guys alone. I love your pictures they will just have to do until July or we convince Mommy and Daddy to move closer. I hope you, Mommy and Daddy have a good weekend. Love, Nana

  2. Mr. T, you are not going to like being a Mama's boy, so here is some advise for her but you don't have to listen. When Sara was a baby she did not like going to bed. We would put her in her crib and let her cry for no more that 15 minutes without going in to see her. We would then let her go for 15 more minutes. Within a couple of nights even at her age she realized it was easier to go to sleep than cry for fifteen minutes. Never had a problem after that. It could be that mommy and daddy are giving in and the tail has learned already to wag the dog. Anyway, crying never hurt a baby. Sounds bad but it is best for all concerned. Love your blog, keep up the good job. Uncle Bud.
